Bullseye

I can't help it, I just love Target. This season they have some of the cuuuuutest stuff for home right now!

Meet some of the objects of my Target obsession affection:

Owley, the Owl cookie jar (yes, the name is very original).

And, Mr. Nuts. Yes, if I bought him that would be his name. Because he's a squirrel. Not any other reason.

This platter would be gorgeous for serving your Thanksgiving turkey (though, I don't know if I'll ever be able to do that since Russ hates turkey with the fire of a thousand Suns).

I love all of the colors and designs on these dishes.

If you live somewhere where it gets relatively cold this time of year, this will be the best $35 you will spend. It's warm and soft and amazing. We actually bought this one below for Russ to have on the ship because it's so cold all the time. He loves it.

Mom actually bought these last week and has loved every minute of them. $20 isn't bad for some decent flannel sheets either.
Pretty much everything I've loved that is pictured here is on sale this week so it's a perfect time to run out and get some comfy bedding and blankets or some pretty serving ware for Thanksgiving!

Out and About Browsing

It's been a while since I was able to bring you some cool browsing finds but truthfully, it's taken me a while to even find enough things noteworthy enough for a post! I don't know, the stores have been more miss than hit lately.

Target usually hits the mark and did it again with these adorable metal chairs. I love them, even if they look a little uncomfortable. I don't know, I just see these little red ones around a rustic table in a cozy patio surrounded by plants.

The green stools are cute too and would be an adorable pop of color in a white kitchen with gorgeous subway tile.

Like this one...

I loved these coasters!

And these feathers encased in glass appealed to my love for teal/blue and green!

What a charming little side table, right? I love the color!

This isn't home related but I love this bike! I'm not usually a yellow person but it's so sunny and fun... I want it...

While at Macy's oogling the rest of Martha Stewart's kitchen collection, I saw these wonderful  little display dishes! They were a little pricey but they were drool-worthy.

Homegoods is usually iffy for me, even the one in Virginia was sometimes a disappointment. But sometimes... there's things like this adorable clock...

...or this cuuuute globe with a painted banner and plane on it (DIY idea, anyone?) that makes it worth my time.

Oh, and these cake stands that are inexpensive, cute and capable of being customized with a new ribbon of your choice.

I was recently at an antique mall and saw travel stickers! I didn't see any one with any personal significance or I would have bought some to display but they were very interesting.

Also, these old college banners were worth a look too.

And look at this bed! It's one of those items that can be beautiful and creepy all at once.

Thanks for going shopping with me!

Out and About Browsing

Ready to go out shopping with me?

Here we go!

I wish my bathroom had enough room for one of these cute little bathroom storage baskets that I found at Homegoods.

This metal chest caught my eye but at $199 (!!!), I was comfortable leaving it at the store.

I'm totally in love with this new take on the sunburst mirror trend that is made of gorgeous silvery branches.

This chair I spotted at Ross had such a interesting and pretty pattern. Strangely, Hobby Lobby had the exact same fabric available by the yard! What are the chances?

Heading over to Target and they've got some very springy, bright decor on display. I thought this clock was gorgeous; love it!

I thought these prints could be very easily DIY-able with some watercolor paints and a little time.

Next we're headed over to World Market (where I want pretty much everything that it's hard to decide what to take pictures of!).

I want to marry this coffee table.

I kinda want this screen to use as a headboard... not sure if I can part with $169 for it though.

Trunk! I absolutely love trunks... I must have one someday (though, it's probably going to be a thrift store find!).

And lastly, Michael's. They always seem to have the cutest little figurines and sometimes you can get really good coupons for them.

I almost had to physically restrain myself from bringing home either of these babies. Maybe when they go on sale and I'll get lucky? Maybe.

Sweeeet Target Find

I mentioned these cute candle holders in a post a few days back and have liked them every time I went down the decor aisle. But I just couldn't pay $5.99 for them... no matter how much I admired them. I am just too cheap.

And then, the clouds parted and these babies wound up in the clearance end cap just waiting for me, sitting there giving me these eyes:

Second 'Puss in Boots' reference this week- whatever.
For $1.78 EACH! Why yes, yes I can do that.

I was in like with them for $5.99. But for $1.78 I am in full-blown, fiery passionate love with them. Are they an awesome clearance find or what? :D

I stuck my Target 'silver birch' scented candle in the one and it fit perfectly (and even better, no messy waxy clean up later).

Cuuuute.

Out and About Browsing!

Want to come shopping with me? Well... technically browsing since I'm saving my pennies for our move in a couple weeks (which is between 36-43 days, gotta love the military and their wacky and incoherent timeframes).

But, if everything goes smoothly with this move and we end up saving as much as I hope we will there will be lots and lots of shopping posts!

Oh, remember when I said the housing situation was finally figured out? Yeah, well everything has been tossed back up into the air! Oh well, I'm sure everything will work out fine and I'm totally excited to decorate a new place, wherever that place may be. (Especially when the Young House Love book is coming out in November!)

Anyways, I feel bad that this post has taken so long to come up because some of these pretty things at Target have already hit the clearance rack!

Here's some cute stuff I've seen popping up there recently:

Look at this sweet, little rooster. He perfectly matches my cow creamer dish I bought!

This cute candelabra was $14.99 but I recently saw it marked down to $7.48... I really like it but didn't want to spend the money.

These brightly colored box lids would be totally easy to DIY and would definitely cost less than $15.

There were lots of equestrian-themed decor items for Fall (there were shadowboxes with ribbons in them also) and I'm kinda digging it.

This box is totally DIY-able too! I might have to file this away for later...

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for some new bedding because we'll definitely be needing it. Oh, and I'm kinda picky (and so is Russ...) so it might take a while! But, I thought this was kinda cute.

Ahh and these cake stands were so adorable that if they had cheeks, I would have pinched them! (But that would have been weird... a cake stand with cheeks would be actually very terrifying.)

They came in an assortment of colors: yellow, blue, red, and grey. So, so cute.

Now let's head over to Steinmart (which Russ absolutely hates this store, no clue why) but they had a few nice things. They had a great assortment of Christmas things that I had to force myself not to look at because the holidays are going to be totally crazy for us this year.

I'm loving everything about this lamp... but then again, I am a freak for chevron pattern.

When I saw these I though of my Mom. She would definitely dig these cute little old timey containers.

Then onto Homegoods/TJ Maxx!

I loved this bold, red cake plate.

This chair, that someone has abandoned their clothes shopping on, has some awesomely chunky legs.

And these are totally unrelated to decor shopping but I think they're so fun... and I want them.

Pinterest Recipe: Buffalo Chicken Dip

After pinning this 51 (Wow!) weeks ago, I finally got around to trying it. And... we ate all of it and made another batch a couple days later. We absolutely loved it and it was really a simple recipe to make!

It was originally pinned from here.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

1 1/2 cups cooked and shredded chicken or 1 (12 ounce) can chunk chicken, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Ranch dressing
1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Instructions:
Heat chicken and Buffalo sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Make sure to break up the chicken so there are no big chunks. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in shredded cheese.

It may look like we're advertising for Walmart but we just bought the cheapest ingredients!

So, we made an appetizer dinner out of it and I got to use my new platter that I got on clearance at Target!

Which matches my cute little creamer cow that I also got on clearance at Target...

Some yummy food and Doctor Who made a lovely evening together!
