Anyways, this past weekend we went to our first Emerald City Comicon and we had such a good time, we can't wait to go next year!
The Washington State Convention Center was abSOlutely huge! It had pretty much anything a nerd could love: comic books, superheroes, Legos, toys, card games, nerdy t-shirts, art... anything and everything.
My inner Harry Potter nerd/Lego nerd was completely amazed at seeing this amazing Hogwarts done in Lego. The artist even completed some rooms like the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, Potions classrooms, etc. It was jaw-droppingly gorgeous.
There were so many great artists set up there that I really had to refrain from going booth to booth and snatching up everything. So much talent in one place; comic book art, fantasy art, cartoon art- there was almost too much to look at.
This booth full of art supplies made me want to go over and lovingly pet all of the lovely pens... I love me some art supplies.
They even had the wardrobe from The Hunger Games on display!

We spent a good while over at this booth set up with old and hard to find game consoles and cartridges. Russ was definitely in heaven.
And things I unfortunately don't have pictures of:
-Seeing Danny Bonaduce walk by (he's super short, haha!)
-Meeting Gillian Anderson (squee!)! They didn't allow photos in the celebrity meet and greet but we did get to chat with her which was super awesome for us crazy X-Files fans.
-My brother got to meet Adam West and Burt Ward from the 60's Batman show.
-All the people dressed in spandex that really shouldn't be (you're welcome for not snapping those photos).
But yeah, we had an awesome time and I can't wait to see what's going to be happening there next year!
